Sharing Your memoNries

AA All memoNry holders,

If there are any family events that created great memoNries for you, we encourage you to create a blog post and share photos with a little bit of narrative so the readers can get a sense of how it felt to be there.

Its true that pictures tell a thousand words, however, as we know from the entertainment industry, the same picture can tell very different stories. Like the picture of Nauman carrying Farrukh (the picture is small so that is what I can tell). Is it Nauman kidnapping Farrukh and Aunty Marvi watching in dismay, or is it Farrukh being swept off his feet by Nauman and Aunty Marvi watching in dismay? Or is it something else.

For any events and get togethers moving forward, lets see whether we can create narratives that carry the memoNries.

A memoNries laden event was the recent past M&M2010 so I suspect there might be one or more posts about various aspects of that event. Thanks Mashaal and Melissa for putting so much love and positive intention into the wedding that it became an example of family closeness we can have if we put some effort into it.

Also, lets try to keep the memoNries positive and clean.

Mega Eid 2011 Memon related Families Get Together

AA All,

Aadila threw an idea on the table for our consideration.

Nauman seconded it, Mashaal thirded it, I fourthed it.

An Eid 2011 grand get together!!

We need to know who is up for a Memon get together for one of the 2011 EIDS.

The dates for Eid next year are as follows:

- Eid al-Fitr in 2011 is on or about Tuesday, the 30th of August (source:http://www.when-is.com/eid-al-fitr-2011.asp)

- Eid al-Adha in 2011 is on or about Sunday, the 6th of November. (source: http://www.when-is.com/eid-al-adha-2011.asp)

So if we all put our comments and ideas on this blog, ia we can come to a concensus on who is available, possible places and costs.

Comments and ideas are welcome.

IA this will be the first of many reunions, including possibly Umrah and Haj trips in the future.

Looking forward to comments and to seeing you all there in about 350 days ia.
